Fraudulent votes of all types (including a spouse voting for a recently deceased partner) represented less than 0.002 percent of all votes cast in six battleground states in 2020, according to an AP analysis. That’s roughly 475 fraudulent votes out of 25 million cast—and existing local systems caught the erroneous ballots.Under the SAVE Act, an estimated 69 million women and 4 million men have legal names that do not match their birth certificates due to marriage, divorce, or other life changes. While an estimated half of all White Americans hold a valid US passport, only about one-third of people of color do.
