@reallyflygreg I got one of these a couple of months ago before the last big protest and was satisfied to see that apparently my local law-enforcement is not using the equipment that RayHunter is supposed to detect? But I'm sure that could change soon... which reminds me, I should charge it and set it up for Saturday just out of curiosity.

The US government is secretly developing one of the largest surveillance systems in American history β€” a mega-database merging information from dozens of federal agencies to create "360-degree profiles" of immigrants. The DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) program integrates data from Homeland Security, Social Security Administration, and the IRS. What's being collected includes immigration status, employment records, tax filings, biometric data, and potentially social media monitoring.Privacy experts warn this could become the most comprehensive surveillance tool ever created by the US government. The Electronic Frontier Foundation calls it "a dangerous expansion of government surveillance threatening the privacy rights of millions."Five key risks:No transparency about what data is collected or how it will be usedMission creep β€” systems built for immigrants inevitably expand to other populationsInadequate privacy protections and independent oversightData breach risk from concentrating sensitive information in one systemDiscriminatory potential for profiling based on ethnicity or national originThis program follows a global trend toward digital authoritarianism. China's social credit system, Russia's "Sovereign Internet" β€” now America's version. Tools built for "protection" become tools of control.https://newsgroup.site/doge-immigrant-surveillance-database-usa-2026/ #Surveillance #Privacy #DOGE #CivilRights #DataPrivacy #DigitalRights

Once upon a time, US citizens protested and acted against a not justifiable war of their government. These #protests grew to an international social movement and counterculture. They led to more #civilRights and an inspiring cultural renaissance in the Western world: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opposition_to_United_States_involvement_in_the_Vietnam_WarYou could do it once.
