CIRCLE WITH A DOT

A new day. A new chance to succeed.A day that's started without me.More accurately, I'm already distracted from my normal routine and scrambling a bit to get back on track. Two minutes to sunrise instead of my normal two hours.It's okay. I still have time. The pressure to "do this before that" and "have something done by now" is self-inflicted.Most of what I want to do can't happen yet anyway. @Sharonbw Ditto. It was about 39F at 1 PM. The windchimes are back up (10 of them) and it wasn't too cold. 40F is when this desert rat draws the line between cold and cool. 🥶

#today I spent a few hours at the Siem Reap International Airport. Waiting for a delayed or rescheduled flight from Bangkok. It took some patience and I got to look at the funny little things which always get me going.#siemreap #cambodia

@nlowell @joyce Unfortunately the motorway near us is noisy all the time, days & times make very little difference. The biggest factor is the wind direction - from the SW and it's almost as though all 8 lanes are in our back garden, with a rare NE or E wind it can get a lot quieter. There's a controversial housing development near us which has the potential to shield us from some of the noise, but it'll be difficult to assess the change.

#Today rare sighting of our neighborhood great horned owl who we hear all the time but rarely see. My husband spied them on our next door neighbor's palm tree early last evening. There're likely 2 of them about, who call to each other, but we could never confirm. We were thrilled to see one.#BirdsOfMastodon

Good morning, the sun is out and it's not lying about the temperature out there as much as it was yesterday. Still, 7°C isn't 'warm', but it's an improvement on the 'feels like 2° and intense hail and sleet showers' of yesterday. Main improvement is the dropping of the 35mph winds to 6mph breeze.Anyway, choosing one of the approximately 73 outstanding garden jobs to start on today and we'll see how many I get done - probably not including the one I went out to do.#today

Accomplishments for #today so far.︎ got up, got clean, got dressed︎ collected lab sample︎ delivered sample to lab︎ picked up two books at store, including Laundry Files №1 by @cstross (see image)︎ stopped at #PureBread and had something while reading first but of Mr Stross’ opus︎ thought about dinner︎ returned home

Another Friday 13th #today. Seems like we've been having an above average number of those lately. I'm sure that doesn't mean anything.

@joyce The change from the warm weather back to cold is a wild roller coaster ride. I hope you get your walk and that you have a good writing day. I'm glad you mentioned laundry. That reminded me that I need to wash a new shirt. I'm compulsive about one wash by themselves for new clothes in case they bleed color.

Slowly recreating the process from bits and pieces of the Before Time when writing was joy and I was ignorant.It doesn't get easier. The more practice I get, the more aware I am of the gap between inspiration and execution.Yet I keep rearranging the kindling and applying a flame. It will catch. Eventually.May your flames burn brightly #today
