Well I found out I have Lyme Disease an hour ago.

I blouse my trouser legs into my socks. Seems to help. Doesn't look elegant, but neither does a bullseye rash.
@SoftwareTheron
Ironically I did have my pants bloused into my socks. Not because of ticks though, I was dealing with angry bees. Something else you don't want up your trousers.

I've avoided it close to 50 years. Just bad luck really.@That_One_Guy I am in my mid 60s and lived most of my life in rural areas. I must not taste very good. Probably why mosquitoes don't bite me much, either.
But I was once licked by a giraffe.

I've been bitten by most of the Missouri wildlife unfortunately. I was a curious kid on a farm.Mosquito don't seem to bother me either. We're having a high tick year.

Well I found out I have Lyme Disease an hour ago. Just what I wanted for summer. Made it almost 50 years of outdoor living avoiding it to get struck down now.
Watch out for ticks everyone.
@That_One_Guy Treated clothes has worked very well for me. That and checking behind the ears!
Hope the drugs do the trick. Apparently itβs an extra-bad year.

@That_One_Guy I'm sure. Fortunately, there are antibiotics for it, and you've started them.

@That_One_Guy for anyone reading this. Look at the pictures in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erythema_migrans
If you see these rings around a bug bite, go to your doctor stat
The antibiotic treatment is way better than suffering Lyme's disease!Just a heads up that it isn't always a ring - mine wasn't.
But mine was angry, purple, and quickly getting HUGE, along with a weird fever, so I got it checked out early.
The CDC has (had?) a gallery showing a variety of rashes that it may look like. And mine was in there.
