Good morning! May is starting out at a chilly 45F/8C. So far the bright sunshine hasn't been enough to convince our mama chickadee to leave the nest box. She has poked her head out a few times, only to retreat back inside. I think Mr Chickadee is bringing her breakfast in bed, as he's made several quick trips to the box. I hope the newly hatched babies are getting some nourishment as well. Meanwhile, the cats and I are enjoying this activity as we ease into the day.

How nice to be able to watch the chickadees from your window! I hope you see the babies when they learn to fly.
