@JessTheUnstill I've been hearing murmurs that the white house is still panicking about internal polling they have around both the house and senate for the midterms, even WITH the gutting of the VRA. Like, I don't wanna be overly optimistic, but I think cautious optimism is still ok. I'm still gonna show up to the polls and see what happens, with my fingers crossed I guess. Like, I'm not *not* concerned. But I don't have the emotional capacity to panic rn.

Yeah the dual sense is just the old potentiometers. These are supposed to be the generation past hall effect, so hopefully even more reliable over the long run. I've cleaned out the pots in my dual sense once already, but each time I risk breaking it. @ainmosni @kayla

@oddtail like for $100B, even if you stuck it all in T bills, you're earning THREE BILLION EVERY YEAR risk free. Over 8 million every day not even touching the principle. You could buy 8 $1 million dollar houses every single day and burn them.

@irene Nah we're still renting for now, until I have some confidence in the future at least, so reluctant to invest too much into stuff that may not fit right into a forever home someday. I'll probably end up with some Ashley Furniture or Lazy Boy or something
