Please copy and paste into the form on the website of your Senators and Representative and share with friends. https://www.congress.gov/contact-usDear Sen/Rep-I urge your immediate intervention regarding the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Board’s recent approval of the President’s request to shut down the center for renovation. The Kennedy Center requires no structural overhaul. Congress provides its capital and maintenance budget annually ($32–$43 million) and would be aware of any such needs. Moreover, neither the President nor the Board has provided a public, independent analysis of the building. Demand Congressional oversight and input.I urge you to insist that Congressionally designated board members like Representative Joyce Beatty and Senator Mark Warner be included in all board meetings and provided all board information as well as be allowed to vote. The board should be bipartisan; it is no longer. Congress created this memorial, and it should have active and meaningful Congressional oversight. I urge you to co-sponsor or introduce legislation reaffirming Congressional authority over the Center's governance, design and maintenance without delay. The Kennedy Center deserves to remain what Congress intended: a dignified, solemn memorial and cultural institution for all Americans -- not another project designed primarily for personal glorification. #Resist #ResistOfTheDay #KennedyCenter

Please copy and paste into the form on the website of your Senators and Representative, and share with friends. I object to the rules changes this Republican Administration is making to the Board of Immigration Appeals, rules meant to make it nearly impossible for people to appeal immigration rulings.. I want you citing this rule change as yet another reason DHS should not get their full budget until they reform (fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard, but no funds for ICE/CBP until the system is overhauled.)This rule change would have appeals dismissed unless a majority of Board members affirmatively vote to consider the appeal on the merits. An appellate system that defaults to dismissal will screen out precisely those cases where scrutiny is most necessary, appeals filed under emergency intake conditions, often without immediate access to transcripts or records. When appellate review narrows, errors are less likely to be detected and corrected before a person is forever removed from the US. This rule change reduces the appeal period from 30 days to 10 days. It takes time to review the immigration judge’s decision and the record to identify errors. It assumes unrepresented asylum seekers can get access to the databases and forms necessary to file their appeals in a timely manner.I want you to cite this rule change as yet another reason to hold up certain DHS funds. I do not want my tax dollars funding this cruelty. #Resist #ResistOfTheDay #ICE

Please make a public comment on a rule change related to the Board of Immigration Appeals by April 8.Here is the link: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/02/06/2026-02326/appellate-procedures-for-the-board-of-immigration-appealsHere is draft language:I object to changes to the rules governing Board of Immigration Appeals. This rule change establishes a new appellate structure under which appeals are presumptively dismissed unless a majority of Board members vote to consider the appeal on the merits.Presuming dismissal does nothing to validate the merits of individual immigration cases. A system that defaults to dismissal will screen out cases where meaningful scrutiny is most necessary such as when the appeal is filed under emergency intake conditions, often without immediate access to transcripts or records. When appellate review is narrowed, legal and factual errors made are less likely to be detected and corrected before a person is forever removed from the Unites States. Changing this rule weakens one of the system’s central safeguards and raises the likelihood of uncorrected error and erroneous removal. This rule change also reduces the appeal period from 30 days to 10 days. This is not enough time to prepare a meaningful appeal. It takes time to review the immigration judge’s decision and the record to identify legal or factual errors. It also assumes everyone involved in the process, including unrepresented asylum seekers, can get access to the databases and/or forms necessary to file their appeals in a timely manner.#Resist #ResistOfTheDay

Please copy and paste into the form on the website of your Senators and Representative and share with friends. https://www.congress.gov/contact-usDear Sen / RepI oppose any suspension of the federal gas tax, including legislation such as the Gas Prices Relief Act, as a means of offsetting the economic burden of this Republican Administration's war in Iran. I likewise oppose lifting any sanctions on Russian oil. If Congress believes (as I do) that this war imposes an excessive burden on Americans, Congress should end the war. Only Congress may declare war, and only Congress may fund it. Neither a formal declaration nor a proper authorization has occurred. Suspending the gasoline tax does not address that constitutional failure; it subsidizes indecision.Focusing on gas prices minimizes the stakes. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz affects the entire global supply chain of critical materials including industrial sulfur as well as, copper, and cobalt, two materials essential to electric vehicle batteries and semiconductors. One-third of the world’s nitrogen fertilizer passes through the Strait.Suspending the 18.4-cent-per-gallon federal gasoline tax is theater. It does not address the scale of disruption and papers over Congress’s responsibility to make a clear decision about the war itself. Do not sign or vote for a suspension of the federal gasoline tax. Do not lift sanctions on Russia. Address the war directly. Your constituents are watching.#Resist #ResistOfTheDay #Iran

Please copy and paste into the form on the website of your members of Congress and share with friends. https://www.congress.gov/contact-usI want Congress to address the breakdown in antitrust enforcement at the Department of Justice.Attorney General Bondi dismissed Gale Slater, head of the DOJ's Antitrust Division. Ms. Slater was scrutinizing the proposed merger of Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Juniper Networks over concerns it would harm competition in cloud computing and wireless networking. Her opposition to the merger appears to have contributed to her firing. The handling of the LiveNation/Ticketmaster antitrust case raises further concerns. After a jury trial opened last week on allegations that the company has unlawfully monopolized the live events industry, the DOJ announced a surprise settlement on Monday without notifying the nearly 40 state co-plaintiffs, without giving its own lead attorney advance notice of the terms, and without informing the presiding judge that a settlement was forthcoming until the night before. This would be the company's third consent decree since 2010, which raises serious questions about whether settlements are an effective remedy. I want you to hold hearings on political interference in DOJ antitrust enforcement.I want the Antitrust Division to have the independence and resources it needs to fulfill its mandate. We deserves a DOJ that works for the public interest, not just the president and corporate interests.#Resist #ResistOfTheDay

Please copy and paste into the form on the website of your Senators and Representative. Please share with friends. https://www.congress.gov/contact-us Dear Senator / Representative -I do not want you giving CBP and ICE a budget.I am fine with TSA and FEMA getting their funding. But every aspect of funding in support of the arrest, detention, and deportation of people needs to be stopped until fundamental reform of all their operations takes place. In 2025, the DHS Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties investigated only 3% of complaints filed, as compared to 20% of complaints investigated in 2024. This office had a staff of 147 in January 2025. It is now staffed by 40 people. The Office of the Immigration Detention Ombudsman, which reviews immediate detention-related problems, currently only employs five people, down from 118 at the start of 2025. The DHS official in charge of this office, Joseph Guy, had not heard of the office before he became its acting director. He also had never seen the manual that outlines the standards used to manage conditions in immigration detention centers, according to his deposition of December 3, 2025.Please, do not give CPB and ICE a budget. This system is designed to cover up abuse. The for-profit companies charged with running these facilities have no incentive to behave in a reasonable and ethnical manner. The oversight offices are gutted. You have the power to fix this. Please use it.#Resist #ResistOfTheDay #DHS #ICE #CBP

Please copy and paste into the form on the website of your Senators and Representative and share with friends. https://www.congress.gov/contact-usDear Senator/Representative:I want you to end the terror DHS is inflicting, stop the preventable deaths in DHS custody, and impose real accountability on the private, for-profit companies operating these facilities. The departure of the previous DHS Secretary is important, but it does not solve the systemic cruelty built into the DHS system. On Wednesday, a legal asylum seeker from Haiti died while in DHS custody in Arizona. Mr. Damas entered the country legally in February 2024 through a program for Haitian immigrants. ICE took him into custody in Boston in September 2025 while his asylum request was on appeal. ICE transferred him from Boston to New York to Texas to Arizona, where he spent the last four months of his life.He first complained of tooth pain in mid-February and was given ibuprofen. He was finally taken to a hospital last week; another detainee notified his family in Boston. Damas was the 10th person to die in ICE custody in 2026, fewer than nine weeks into the year. Dismantle DHS. It is too corrupt, too enmeshed with the corporate prison industry, and too lawless to exist. No one should die from a toothache in U.S. government custody. Your constituents are watching — and waiting for an answer.#Resist #ResistOfTheDay #DHS #ICE

Please copy and paste into the forms on the websites of your members of Congress and share with friends. https://www.congress.gov/contact-usDear Senator / Representative --I would like you to draft bold immigration reform that meets the needs of this country moving forward. I want everyone in Congress to stop playing partisan games with legislation and focus on the issues. There are similar elements in the 2021 proposed Citizenship Act and the February 2024 immigration bill that was supported by Republican James Lankford, independent Kyrsten Sinema, and Democrat Chris Murphy. Please resurrect the best parts of both of these bills and prepare something that can move immigration forward in a sane, reasonable, compassionate way. Immigration laws in this country need an overhaul, and a complex issue such as this should not be handled by Executive Order. The best solution for everyone comes when all the members of Congress put party aside and focus on the issues.Set the example. Draft the legislations. Start the discussions.#Resist #ResistOfTheDay

Please copy and paste into the forms on the websites of your members of Congress and share with friends. https://www.congress.gov/contact-usDear Senator / Representative --I want an end to DHS concentration camps, and I want you to make a stand on this issue. This Republican Administration is spending $38 billion over the next few months to turn warehouses into concentration camps. A $10 billion Navy construction contract has ballooned into $55 million. The drawings being leaked by municipal officials show plans for row after row of cages. The documents call them "human holding facilities." I call them an abomination. DHS continues to kill people, and DHS continues to lie about the people they kill, expressing no need for any change in their procedures. I see regular reports of abuse, beatings, and medical neglect. I see the continued videos from Minnesota -- people released from DHS detention in the dark, in the cold, their phone confiscated, with no way to reach home. I saw the story of the nearly-blind refugee DHS killed in Buffalo. Cruelty is the point of their policies, and I do not want my tax dollars supporting it. Every concentration camp they build is a scar on this nation.#resist #ResistOfTheDay #DHS #ICE

I am tired of the aggression and the posturing that leads to war. I am tired of the willingness of elite political leaders to send other people's children to war, the willingness of these untouchable elite to let other people's children die.How do we stop war? Is there room for a global general strike? Can we rein in the ultra-wealthy untouchables who cause all wars?I want every child to grow up safe, with a safe place to sleep, enough food that they do not go to bed hungry, with loving adults around them to guide them. You first ran for office because you thought you could make the world a better place. Now, more than ever, be our voice. Stop the endless cycle of aggression and death. #Resist #ResistOfTheDay
