@mlbellar Unfortunately, Mark Carney's record on standing up to the convicted felon in the White House has been dismal. Hopefully with enough public pushback we can get him out of his pro-Trump headspace and back to reality.

He certainly has no interest in denting the profits of the (mostly foreign-owned) oil industry in Canada.OTOH, a solid majority of Canadians have supported windfall taxes on the oil industry for years now. Carney used to pretend to care what the "owners of Canada" thought -- it will be even more difficult to influence LPC policy now he's in a majority, but we have to keep trying, right?
