@vfrmedia @Tony_Meredith @FluentInFinance@mastodon.social @cmsdengl It might be instructive to look at 'whole of life' costs rather than breaking it down. The cost of fuel is much less in the USA but probably cars cover a greater mileage due to the geography of the continent. I've not got a clue about how maintenance costs might vary between the two areas but it could be a significant factor. So - are the higher purchase payments offset by lower running costs or not?
