    > (the answer is to eat the amulet)

    Not so simple:

    5) You need to wait motionlessly for a minute until the pillar starts to sink back into the floor. Once it's fully sub-- er... floored you need to stand on its top and _then_ eat the amulet.

    6) The pillar rises and takes you up to the window level

    7) You make out stylized star constellations painted onto the ceiling, one of which is called "The Way"

😎 Jump in that direction through the illusion of a glass window

You will need to use at least one bullshit item that this puzzle does not reference at all.

        1) The pillar sections independently rotate. Align them until a grammatically correct Ancient Egyptian riddle emerges

        2) The riddle explains in which order to activate the statues.

        3) The pillar will rise upwards, revealing a hollow compartment that contains a cursed amulet

        4) You’re not getting out of this room until you find the riddle’s second, more metaphorically expressed meaning (the answer is to eat the amulet)

@Edent This feels like the Game Myst. I expect the dome to rotate independently of the pillar in the middle.

@Edent I can practically hear the stones rumble and turn.

That and some annoying voice actor's repeated line, "Why did I think that would work?"

@Edent yes, but are you aware of why you're reaching this conclusion? perhaps? might be? because historically, this kind of game (and most widespread games) has been dominated entirely by cishet white men with colonialist origins that did not put much thought into it when appropriating the ruins of these cultures (sometimes literally; british museum) for a puzzle? and that means it's so widespread that it reversed the trope into this???
so now you can say that these cultures feel like puzzles, when the reality is the puzzles were made out of these cultures stolen remains...
                        just a theory!
