@benroyce @roger @Netraven @mcnado You are definitely not fixing the world by voting for democrats. Same bombs will fall on the same people and the same elites will keep profiting. If you are willing to throw everyone outside the US under the bus just to get some sense of normality within your country, then we don't have the same goals.

@JakeKb Plot a likely , *workable* path to a better future. Follow it, step by step.
The fist step is *not* more insanity, nor is it tearing it all down. The first step is a small step away from the abyss. Rinse and repeat.

how many times have i written "show up in the primaries"

do you understand what a primary is?

      how did we get mamdani?

was it because of people like you going "nothing changes. waah. everything sucks and then you die. waah"

or was it from people voting?

@benroyce @Pine_Affinity @pascaline @Netraven @mcnado I suggest looking through Nick Power’s videos on YouTube or IG. He has done so many with with regards to voting and importance of showing up the primaries, with actual stats backing up his statements, but here’s one addressing “Dems are the same as GOP.”

@JakeKb @benroyce @roger @Netraven @mcnado once again for the slow folks at the back of the class.

A *vote* is just a snapshot. If there are only two options. A. Fascist and B. Almost Fascist you use that vote and vote for B.

When A. wins, all is lost. When B. wins, it sucks. But then you have 1460 days until the next election. And maybe it will take several times 1460 days. That sucks even more.

But losing it all to fascism cannot be tolerated.

@JakeKb @benroyce @roger @Netraven @mcnado But people prefer to sit on their arse for 1460 days and then go "Oh LoOk BoTh SiDeS BaD So i WoN't VoTe" and then post cynical dreck on Social Media about how "rotten" "the system" is, and repeat that self defeating shit every 4 years. What is rotten is your self indulgent self pitying apathetic mush for brains.

It’s not my cynicism, it’s an assertion by The Hill.
Pockets of Dems have been calling for him to step down for over a year and here we are. By what mechanism will that change?

@Pine_Affinity @benroyce @screwturn @Netraven @mcnado @ Pine: You’re arguing in favor of fascism and Trump by telling everyone not to vote for the only viable option that exists in the US against the orange shitgibbon and his fascist party.

If you’re from the US and you didn’t vote for Kamala, you helped Trump and his fascists take over. In that case this is all on you. You should be ashamed.

@JakeKb @benroyce @Netraven @mcnado yes, an not voting is going so well? You really made the world so much safer staying home? Palestine is free? You refuse to listen to Ben's clear plan to use the existing *clearly flawed* political machinery to drag the Overton window to the left. Good lord, no one has said the democratic party is going to magically fix the world.

Sulking is just obeying in advance. You're either a troll or willfully ignorant.

@roger @benroyce @Netraven @mcnado I am not an American so to me there is no difference which president sends the bombs. What I do know is that historically fascism is defeated on the streets, not the ballot box. If all you can do politically is vote for the least worst option, you will always end up in this point just later. Why can't you channel all that energy instead to build something for yourselves, not controlled by big money and actually by the people?

@hakona @JakeKb @benroyce @roger @Netraven @mcnado Exactly. And the stronger you feel the more you should feel compelled to canvas, support, work your arse off for those candidates that DO deserve your support. And in your 2 party system such candidates have no choice but to present themselves as "GOP" or Dem.

A third party CAN be created but the amount of effort to pull THAT off would be gargantuan. Don't expect to see the fruits of THAT effort in your lifetime if you're over 40.

No, those who didn't vote brought us to this moment. Had people paid attention things would have been far from here. Biden/Harris had us in a place that would have rebuilt the economy between WWII and 1970's. Unions back in strength, if you look at the 5 bills that trump doesn't dare allow you'll see what I'm saying. Ignorance & not paying attention is what brought us here. GOP has been fighting for this for 75 years. B/H almost got it back in 4years.

Biden's America had the best economic recovery from covid in the WORLD, even after we had the worst death rate (& probably the worst long-term health damage) from the pandemic

he was an amazing POTUS who made amazing strides so...

this had to be stopped by the relentless forces of negativity

We have shitty choices now, because people who could have influenced things to get better options stood back and let things take their course.

Paradigmatic changes almost never happen, and are almost always bad. Incremental and marginal improvement is almost always the only way things actually improve. It works like that to make better sausages, airplanes, or policies

Your resorting to insults is so sad. Browbeating people into voting for a dead end party is not a winning strategy.

@Pine_Affinity It's an accurate description, pertinent to the issue.

You vote for the ones that don't suck. It's that fucking simple. So far, that excludes 99% of the GOP and 66% of the DNC.

                                    Fucking figure it out.

@hakona @JakeKb @benroyce @roger @Netraven @mcnado But maybe it's something that needs to be done. Long term thinking doesn't seem to be US citizens' strong point, but as the Dutch saying goes: "boompje groot, plantertje dood". By the time a tree is mature, its planter will have died of old age. Why bother? For your children's children.

Biden's America had the best economic recovery from covid in the WORLD, even after we had the worst death rate (& probably the worst long-term health damage) from the pandemic

he was an amazing POTUS who made amazing strides so...

this had to be stopped by the relentless forces of negativity

some times i wonder if humanity deserves to survive if our greatest talent is our gift to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

Well we are close to finding out if we are going to take ourselves out of the gene pool. Fuckers can't even swim in reality. I had been waiting for someone to rebuild the economy of the 50's-70's. B/H had it. It took the GOP 75 years to get total control, B/H almost got it back in 4. Everyone of the Dems are looking for a platform to run on and here one sits in the corner dying from a bad case of ignore(ance)!

how many times have i written "show up in the primaries"

do you understand what a primary is?

                                          how did we get mamdani?

was it because of people like you going "nothing changes. waah. everything sucks and then you die. waah"

or was it from people voting?

@benroyce @Pine_Affinity @pascaline @Netraven @mcnado It really isn't rocket science: vote principle in the primary, vote party in the general election. The first is how you keep Democrats honest and move them to the left. The second is how you keep outright fascists out of power.
