    voting doesn't work?

sitting there doing nothing but expecting centrist dems to change doesn't work

    just fucking vote

    in the primaries

    replace them

that is how we fix it

all you are doing is arguing for a behavior, nonparticipation, which ensures fascism marches forward

    why would you do that?

Also, I really find 'left' and 'right' nonsensical and yet, everyone uses it. It's divisive.

how many times have i written "show up in the primaries"

do you understand what a primary is?

            how did we get mamdani?

was it because of people like you going "nothing changes. waah. everything sucks and then you die. waah"

or was it from people voting?

That is the ONLY way that things work.
We have shitty choices now, because people who could have influenced things to get better options stood back and let things take their course.

It’s like brainwashing. We’ve been voting for ‘the best possible’ Dem candidates for decades and it brought us to this exact moment.

                        Factually and historically false.

We got here BECAUSE "didn't vote" is the largest bloc, and instead of leaning in to bends things positive, they stood back and just let the Right snatch the victory, over, and over, and over, and over again

some people don't care about fixing the world or righting wrongs

their primary concern is rationalizing to themselves their entitlement to sit it out and whine

they don't want to sully their magical sense of purity. their self-regard is their highest concern, they do not care if the country is fascist. as long as they get to say "not my fault" when we're going to concentration camps. even though it is their fault, because they did not participate

Your resorting to insults is so sad. Browbeating people into voting for a dead end party is not a winning strategy.

                                      I'll go one better.
If you didn't vote out of choice, and lean left, then you are more responsible for deaths than either Biden or the party.

We got the worst option because people who should have voted for her, just never showed up

Biden was outmaneuvered on Palestine by the worst man on the planet.

It’s not my cynicism, it’s an assertion by The Hill.
Pockets of Dems have been calling for him to step down for over a year and here we are. By what mechanism will that change?

One of the fun facts about predictions in politics is that they are wrong about 50% of the time. Even the polls with all their scientific integrity have a hard time of prediction. I learned a long time ago to follow what I think should be what's happening and vote accordingly. In this case after what IDF did to Gaza I won't support most any Jewish backed organization. Genocide by any group is not acceptable. And it is a Genocide by any standard.
