          @catsalad that's not cheese.
          I'll concede it's more like a "cheese alloy", but definitely not cheese.

                  @catsalad fun part is there's no plastic in it.
                  It's a mixture of cheese, water and some chemicals. Hence the definition of "cheese alloy" which I shamelessy stole from the attached video.

                        @Njord @Sobex @catsalad Notice the package says "with cheddar" and not "cheddar" or "cheddar cheese". It's a pack of French-made 10 NULL_POINTER_EXCEPTION with cheese slices, not a pack of 10 cheddar cheese slices

                            @Njord @Sobex @catsalad Laughing Cow Cheese is a vital ingredient in one of my families favorite Vietnamese dishes. We have been substituting since moving to Germany because I had no clue it was actually French?! Time to figure out where to buy it here or what's the fastest train connection to France covered by Deutschlandticket.

                              @Njord @Sobex @catsalad Fun fact: La Vache Qui Rit is actually cheese. They take the leftovers and scraps left after processing actual cheese and instead of putting them in the trash where they belong, they melt it to get this (with some shit added for texture / taste). So, definitely better than American.

                                  @Njord @Sobex @catsalad Do the french find the description of the mascot as "The Cow Who Laughs" as ominous as I do?

                                  Americans call it "Laughing Cow". But we can be a bit dim at times.
