inspired by CLAUDE.md, I’ve started putting markdown files named after coworkers into work code repos so I can remind them to stop doing shit to the codebase that annoys me

@qdot @indigoviolet the OG vibe coder
@darkrat @qdot @indigoviolet I approve of this for once

@qdot making a HUMAN.md gotta be good practice when you use a human coding agent from https://rentahuman.ai/

I love that CLAUDE.md follows the usual all caps of README/CHANGELOG.
It feels like you’re Claude’s mom yelling at it from the porch to stop playing in the street
If only you could yell it’s full name
Like what even is Claude Anthropic’s middle name
@qdot Ooh, does Claude obey RFC 8174?

@qdot I sincerely appreciate your instance name being attached to this post, as it might be the only thing stopping me from sharing this on a work chat.

@IrrationalMethod @qdot oh lol good thing you pointed that out, I would not have noticed

@IrrationalMethod @qdot Oh of course, I didn't take it as a complaint at all. (In fact it didn't occur to me that it *could* be taken as a complaint until you pointed it out.) I thought it was funny

@qdot Try adding SHARED-CODING-STANDARDS.md, putting your ideas for less annoying practices in there and submit a PR for the the team to review.
Coding to avoid every team member's individual annoyances is not the way.

@qdot Claude Entertainment Mario, get down here! What did I tell you about not adding pointless example code?!
@thomasjwebb
Claude Ogilvie Anthropic!

@qdot is checking in CLAUDE.md the 202x variant of checking in .idea AND .eclipse, and then reformatting all files on every commit?

@qdot It really annoys me that it isn't a dotfile (or in some dotdirectory). To me all non-dotfiles should be actively contributing to the build of a project and any editor/development tools that don't affect the build should be dotfiles...

@qdot I understand you being annoyed when your name is Claude. I also understand you being annoyed by coworkers using vibe coding and commiting that file as if it belongs to the repository. Why are your coworkers using "git commit -a"? You should talk to them. I doubt adding their names as markdown files to the repository is a good measure to teach people, even when you feel offended by their behaviour.

@delta@mk.absturztau.be @qdot@buttplug.engineer @stellavie@tech.lgbt look in the log for a websocket. don't see one? it's fake. many sites do this
