#ThreeGoodThings • sunny and less cold than I thought it would be, so a 5km walk occurred after this morning’s playing commitments• a book I located and researched for the charity last year has sold at auction for well above estimate (>£2k before fees, I don’t know what the auction house takes) but that’s a good result for the charity• got feedback on some work today. [A senior figure at publisher] “was talking to Simon Rattle the other day: he was ‘raving’ about the quality of the parts you prepared and was extremely happy and astounded that a significant new work had no errors.”

#ThreeGoodThings • sunny and warm it was• haircut, and also catching up with the lovely person who cuts it• car did not run out of petrol although the gauge eventually refused to display how many km were left in the take, so I guess it was pretty low, and – being as I was at the time in very rural Suffolk – it was a worryingly long journey to the nearest petrol station

Three good things I'm grateful for:1. The space to care for myself first thing in the morning. I put a heating pad on my back while I meditated, then followed it with ice. It felt nurturing and intentional.2. The loving-kindness practice I did, starting with myself and then extending it to others. It truly filled me up with warmth and love.3. Getting to spend time again with someone I really like. It feels good to enjoy our time together without depending on them for my happiness.
