We used to take that telescope up to Camp Mather with us, when the kids were little.We would take turns looking as closely as we could to the night sky, while 'camping' in the Sierras, almost every summer.It has a round base, so could be held in a lap or on it's stand. Great for kids!

Image of Arp 284, also known as NGC 7714 and NGC 7715, from the Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies by Halton Arp (1966).In the original catalog, it was in the category: Double and multiple galaxies - Infall and attraction. NGC 7714 (bottom) and NGC 7715 (top) had a close encounter about 100 million to 200 million years ago.
