Se dapprima era stata data la notizia della morte, successivamente sulla sorte dell’ex leader estremista aveva cominciato ad aleggiare una coltre di incertezza e mistero. Oggi il chiarimento: secondo “fonti informate” Ahmadinejad è vivo dopo esser sfuggito a “un tentativo di omicidio” nel quale non è rimasto neanche ferito. Al momento si trova in un luogo sicuro.Ahmadinejad è stato Presidente della Repubblica Islamica dal 3 agosto 2005 al 3 agosto del 2013. Considerato un conservatore laico, la sua legislatura fu caratterizzata da un’estremizzazione dello scontro con i Paesi occidentali.
