I saw the movie The Woman King on CBC-Gem. Very good movie. Recommended.It's fiction, but inspired by the real life kingdom of Dahomey in Africa. So, curious, I checked out the entry on Dahomey in Wikipedia. And yeah, that entry made it clear how absolutely fictitious the movie is. It's heavily modified for present day cultural ethics.
