    #TIL that early in WW2, radar tech was still meant to be a state secret in the UK, but was being taught openly as "Radio Physics" in some Canadian universities.

    As a result, the Royal Canadian Navy was able to recruit university students who already understood radar, and many of them went on into the Royal Navy to help train the UK engineering and physics recruits who didn't.
