@necrosis erstmal ist die Frage, ob wirklich deine Gnome Installation oder deine Gnome User Config kaputt ist. Leg dir doch mal einen zweiten User an und guck ob du mit dem eine Gnome Session starten kannst. Wenn das geht, dann musst du (nur) deine Gnome Config wegwerfen und deinen Desktop neu konfigurieren.
