@botler Mir geht es ganz genauso. Ich hatte immer meinen Laptop als mobilen Rechner und den Mac Mini, der immer funktionieren sollte. Nun habe ich beide durch ein Notebook ersetzt, das einfach laufen soll. Ich kann rumbasteln, ich will es aber nicht. Ich bin hier auf Fedora Silverblue hängen geblieben. Läuft für mich sehr gut.

@forteller I can't really imagine that. Unless the app needed new permissions in the meantime and that's why it didn't work properly anymore. Which apps were those?

A few days ago, I installed #centos stream, the middle ground between #fedora and #redhat This combination of a solid, but not too conservative OS with flatpaks from #flathub as the standard source of apps is quite interesting. I admit that there are some provisos I have to overcome regarding the stability.Maybe some more of the essential apps should go to #epel.

Anyone up for such a SIG?

@anthropy I gave my mum a used dell laptop with debian for her 70th birthday, which was over a decade ago, and I can say the same thing. Does everything she needs (web browsing and text processing). The battery's toast, but she only uses it at her desk anyways.
