@joshuagrochow Things are quite low everywhere, as you can see from this chart of 192 wastewater sites. If you zoom in, there are a handful of sites running a bit higher (Oswego NY, Dover NH, St Cloud MN, Union Beach NJ), but they are still very low versus historic trends.

@FediThing Who knows. There is no reliable data. That said, I yesterday posted an article from a leader at an LC clinic saying he's seeing less of it than years ago. And earlier today, I posted that the number of disabled workers had reversed a years-long trend of consistent increases and now has five months of consecutive decreases. It seems we're seeing less LC than we used to with higher infection rates.

For years, I shared that disabilities in the US workforce had been consistently rising—evidence, perhaps, of Long #COVID19 risks still growing. But the trend is now falling. Since November, we've had five consecutive months of falling numbers of disabled workers in the US--first time that's happened in 17 years. Evidence of declining LC risks? Perhaps.We're still well above the pre-pandemic baseline, but the trend is hopeful.

@augieray @Lpm1 Endemic just means (basically) that something is here to stay, not that it is not benign. (Malaria is endemic to many parts of the world, but it is not benign.) COVID-19 sure does look like it is here to stay.

The TL;DR is that two good studies show that this drug’s utility has decreased a great deal as individual immunity developed with vaccines and infections.What about Paxlovid benefits for immunocompromised people and preventing long covid?
