    Just your friendly #COVID19 data tracker (not a COVID minimizer) here to report that COVID hospitalizations reported by the CDC are the lowest they've been since March 2020.

    Also, the positive rate of testing is half as low as it's ever been in a year.

    And COVID in wastewater is at its lowest point in 4 years.

      @augieray That's got to be good news.

      (Or perhaps it's just that all the cool kids want to catch hantavirus these days... 😉

        @augieray Covid is becoming endemic? I went for my last shot a month ago and was told that they will soon be going to giving it once a year along with the flu shot.

          @Lpm1 I THINK COVID is becoming endemic, but I'd like another summer and winter season to see what happens with surges.

          Also, as I'm sure you know, endemic doesn't mean "safe" (but it does mean safer).

              @hembrow @augieray Can the data from the current CDC be trusted? Hasn't it been taken over by the propaganda machine?

                @augieray @Lpm1

                Endemic just means (basically) that something is here to stay, not that it is not benign. (Malaria is endemic to many parts of the world, but it is not benign.) COVID-19 sure does look like it is here to stay.
