      @hpod16

      methinks it can't be comp/antitrust bc we have national legislation not based on EU law there (3a UWG for example or I know that R 1/2003 leaves some space for the member states). Nondiscrimination als sounds like smth, where we don't have full harmonization, like going off vibes, probably bc it can be on so many levels and the competencies would be to expansive otherwise. So must be fishing/agriculture I think

          @hpod16 just checked, Art 3 TFEU mentions both comp/antitrust (which is probably the intended answer) as well as some aspects of fishing haha; dunno if comp/antitrust is only in parts exclusive, bc if I remember what I learned last week correctly, Art 101 ff TFEU only apply to actions with relevance to the inner market, not like two local shops competing or such

            @hpod16 overall, I guessed answer A. Also, compliments for 2k on Mastodon. Do you have more than that on any other (commercial) platform?

              @luap42 thanks for sharing… I always thought comp law was exclusive, but I may have been wrong then. I will try to look into it a bit more

                @hannes99
                Thanks!
                Yeah, I cracked the 2k this weekend, I should celebrate!

                I don't think I have more followers anywhere else, no.
                Not sure how many LinkedIn connections I had (when you work for the EU and share jobs often, strangers love to add you) but I recently decided to hibernate my LinkedIn presence for now.

                  @hpod16 It's really surprising how the Fediverse, while still being so small, generally allows for rather good follower amounts (pls don't look at my profile, I don't accept follows on purpose and work with hashtags), when compared to the huge commercial platforms.

                  Look at the @Volksverpetzer, for example, while mainly posting on Bluesky (and only rarely on Mastodon), their follower numbers on both platforms are almost identical.

                    @luap42 *quietly sobbing in the corner* pictured below: the EU in which member statelets have no control over ag policy and we don't shove a full THIRD of the EU budget into the insatiable maw of our beloved latifundia.

                    (It genuinely does break my heart that we're not taught about the Single Market as the glue that binds it all together...)

                      So for this question I meant to say that competition law is an exclusive competence of the EU. However some commenters informed me there’s also national/local competition laws, so I should have added “competition laws where the pertain to the internal market” but there’s not space for that on a mastodon poll.
                      As for fisheries: there are some aspects that are an exclusive competence, as are some aspects of the common agricultural policy. Not my best poll!
