Oh, interesting! I don't think I've really heard anyone else say the same.

Cilantro...Similarly, I often see people claim 'supertaster' as a reason for a limited palate, whereas I also think I taste a lot of things more strongly and specifically than other people, but it actually gives me more sensory-seeking issues with food, rather than aversions.
Like if there isn't contrast in flavors and sensations and textures, I find it very difficult to eat.
Previously living with two limited-palate partners was... rough.

Cilantro...The very first time I had cilantro rice at a Chili's, I legitimately thought they sprayed my plate with cleaner. It is now one of my favorite herbs.
That doesn't track with what I've heard about how 'the cilantro gene' works.
But it's more recently occurred to me that I love rose and lavender and violet and 'tastes like perfume' isn't really a bad thing to me? Maybe I just like soap now.

I can't have lyrics or TV dialogue anywhere near me if I'm trying to do any reading or focusing. I've rarely heard other people say that. But I also love up-tempo instrumental to help focus. It's also always baffled me that people can listen to a song a hundred times and still not know any of the lyrics. I can't not hear them every time.
