@grishka@friends.grishka.me You can fine foreign entities if they operate in your country. If they don't obey they can get blocked from the whole UK internet, we currently don't have access to Rule34, PornHub (at least the NSFW area) along with a few other NSFW services at all, others are IDed and illegal content has been made easier for children to find as these safer sites are now wiped out. So the OSA has done a lot more damage than fix.

We’ve moved our internal communications from Discord to Zulip at Mastodon, and I think there are plans to do the same for our Patreon community. -

It's sadly not just porn sites but also self-help sites, subreddits, communities and all sorts now. -
We’ve moved our internal communications from Discord to Zulip at Mastodon, and I think there are plans to do the same for our Patreon community.@grishka@friends.grishka.me @Gargron@mastodon.social It all started with the UK's Online Safety Act, where we now ID for porn sites, the UK Gov has since pushed for IDing on these platforms and it's being pushed out worldwide as it's not cost effective for just one country.
It's stupid and is one of the reasons I'm finding alternatives for friends -
We’ve moved our internal communications from Discord to Zulip at Mastodon, and I think there are plans to do the same for our Patreon community.@amazing_helenab@mastodon.social This is why people should look at moving, why should our privacy be taken away just because of some countries like the UK with there Online Safety Act removing our Privacy for data collecting hidden as protecting children

We’ve moved our internal communications from Discord to Zulip at Mastodon, and I think there are plans to do the same for our Patreon community.@athayes@mas.to @Gargron@mastodon.social It shouldn't but it does give them access to scan and look through more posts especially media, we've had it in the UK for a while now and we've had data leaks and lots of problems with this system, highly suggest finding a new place.

Hey fediverse, quick question for you.@stefan@stefanbohacek.online @evan@cosocial.ca The problem with Private Mentions is it doesn't allow for new followers and there is a character limit making mentioned be very limited when you have anywhere close to 100+ followers

I’ve been asked on TV hits and interviews lately to explain why decentralized social media is better, especially re: Mastodon.@anatolegc@piaille.fr @Mastodon@mastodon.social @taylorlorenz@mastodon.social Posters and Flyers are a great idea to produce, this is something that I'm thinking of starting to create myself and start selling in the future.
Happy to chat about designs and see what we could come up with for certain cities and things
