ordering some solder and flux, let's see if Stirri flux is any goodcertainly not cheap, a 30g v5-tf syringe costs around 45 euro at our supplier

Supposedly a good Amtech alternative -

Lab vibes@jaseg it is very nice to just position it anywhere and then move out of the way again, pleasure to use especially in small labs
-
Lab vibes@jaseg this one is table mounted so quite a lot, I wouldn’t want a camera on it, but with the eye it is fine.
You want to go wall mounted for good vibration isolation, then it’s rock solid

our lab has a laser for direct PCB prototyping and it is such a pleasure.@0x3f breadboards are great because you can quickly reconfigure them. I usually start by making breakout boards for my components for breadboards, and then go to a PCB when I know it works. I am however thinking about trying manhattan construction for prototyping, which has the best of both worlds and also a solid ground plane.
You can go crazy with the laser PCBs, I’ve seen people do double sided layouts, laser drilling, edge cuts, solder mask, solder paste stencils. vias tho are kinda a pain tho, no matter how you do them. I usually just go for the simple 1 layer boards.

our lab has a laser for direct PCB prototyping and it is such a pleasure.@0x3f this board turned out a bit toasty, as it is a small surface area and I didn’t slow it down, but the 0.65mm pitch footprint turned out great. normally they look less burnt, like the other one.

our lab has a laser for direct PCB prototyping and it is such a pleasure.@jaseg it is a generic 50w 1064nm Nd:YAG fiber laser engraver, raycus source. Software is lightburn.
If we had to buy it again today we would go for a 5-10w UV one probably, they seem much better suited but they weren’t really around back then.

Those are so much nicer. Amazing what 5-10 years of progress does -

so far it has been more reliable than the office printer, tho that’s no surprise

Whoops this one got a bit cookedWhoops this one got a bit cooked.
I guess we should have a laser profile for small boards, so they don’t overheat.
Still nice work on those TSSOP-14 0.65mm pitch pads -

We just released a new video on theory and experimentation with high speed high linearity analog optoisolator circuits, DC to 1MHz.We just released a new video on theory and experimentation with high speed high linearity analog optoisolator circuits, DC to 1MHz.
I feel it turned out pretty well, give it a watch!
Boosts appreciated!
