@mdiskplaylist oh, I most *definitely* have anxiety, have for as long as I can remember. I even have a prescription, but I can’t take them if I need to *do* anything.
Mental health stuff is a lot. Hope you find a treatment that helps!

I really hate when my nice logical brain is telling me one thing, and yet? Something is pushing my emotional panic button.
While I do understand that it's important to listen to your feelings because the brain is excellent at rationalizing? I also know I am also excellent at catastrophizing minor inconveniences, and this feels more like that then an actual indication of a real problem.
Oof, I just saw a post from someone I respect on FB that said “leaving meta, find me on Substack” and that’s certainly a choice.
In things that don't sound like they should work, but are actually pretty good? This no-oatmeal overnight oats.
I just made my second batch, subbing coconut milk (the kind you get in the dairy section, not the kind in the can) for the almond milk, and adding some cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger to get a bit of a Chai spice thing going on.
I also use Spelda brown sugar as my sweetener, so it's not quite as low-carb as the nutrition information shows, but man, it's good, even if the texture is a little weird.
@MsHearthWitch No buy as a concept is great, but it's really only manageable when you're already pretty content and well prepared.
Which is to say, no shame. Being intentional about spending is a great first step, and being sure to get use / joy out of your purchases is an excellent second one.
Going down to a single person household (and having an income cut of approximately 75%) has really made me reconsider my relationship with spending, but with food treats mostly off the table? We all have to have something that makes us feel good. We really do.
