@ccferrie And if we had Dutch quality cycling infrastructure, that 40 mins would be more like 30 mins with cycle priority junctions and removal of traffic signals.
It is only 10 kms. Even an old fart like me does that in 25 mins.

Systems, apps, account management, back office, ticket machines, readers, maintenance, inspectors, updates, fare negotiations teams, press releases, explanatory documents.
It’s quite a cost.
I'm in Chamonix at the moment, and I’m driving and cycling rather than using the bus because this is just too complicated for me.

Im terrified AI will eventually enable us to communicate with our pets, and I'll find out my cat's an arsehole who hates me.@fesshole much as I love cats, I suspect they are right wing arseholes. Dogs OTOH are used to working in a pack and probably are quite left leaning, although likely to be very tribal, so are probably nationalist arseholes.

For years the only writing I did with a pen was my signature on docs, everything else being on a keyboard or phone.@fesshole No joke. I wrote a page long note by hand last week and I really struggled.
