The govt of #France is pressing #DHS to release the 86-year-old French widow of a military #veteran from #immigration custody after she was detained this month.

#ICE agents detained Marie-Therese Ross in Alabama April 1 after she overstayed her 90-day visa…. Ross is now being held at a federal immigration #detention facility in Louisiana.

[must be one of those violent criminals #Trump claims to be arresting, detaining & deporting /s🙄]

“The main thing is that she is back in France, & that is fully satisfying to us,” Barrot said. [hopefully they will pursue further legal action]

Ms. Ross-Mahé was greeted at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport by her 3 adult children. She was still dressed in her prison wear — orange shoes, sweatpants & a gray sweater, covered in stains & holes, according to one of her sons. She was in a state of shock, & was physically & spiritually exhausted after the ordeal.

Ms. Ross-Mahé is a French citizen who moved to Anniston, Ala., last year after marrying a former American G.I. named Bill Ross whom she had met decades before, when they were both teenagers working at a NATO base in western France. They had kept in touch for years, and after both were widowed a long-distance romance was sparked.

Once married, she had started the formal immigration process.

Mr. Ross died unexpectedly in January & then Ms. Ross-Mahé’s troubles began. Mr. Ross left no will, & an ugly fight ensued with his 2 adult stepsons.

A few months later, on the morning of April 1, Ms. Ross-Mahé was arrested by US #immigration officials & removed from her home in Anniston, dressed only in her nightgown, robe & underwear.

A county probate judge overseeing Mr. Ross’s estate said that one of his sons — a retired Alabama state trooper now working at a federal courthouse in Anniston — was responsible for her arrest. [somebody needs to fuck that SOB up]

Take him out in the woods for a good ass beating...that's the only thing these assholes understand is blunt force violently applied.
Handing them back their own treatment seems to get their attention.

@ChrisHolladay You'd have to have diagrams to help explain why he's getting the beating. If you don't, he'll just think you're picking on him. @Nonilex

@ChrisHolladay That is always the way. Bullies and genuine assholes will not be dissuaded through conversation or monetary punishment. They need a firm beating to show they are just as vulnerable as their victims and should expect the same treatment they initiated.
