Analyzing the mechanisms that enable the control makes change actionable though.e.g.
"a company/boss has the power to control workers"...and its multifacetted what that means in practice, but you can also rephrase that into pointing out the single dominant underlying enabeling mechanic instead:
"a company/boss can stop paying people"
...agreeing on the latter allows aligning actions

but collective action needs focus and coordination and the fewer schelling points the more effectiveness is possible.
So the more targeted a d specific an agreed upon problem is characertized, the easier it gets to also converge on the best path of action.
everyone already knows the rich control the means of production, but its not very helpful in understanding root causes that can be targeted by collective action imho

I keep talking and screamin' about this and pointing it out and trying to do my part to remedy this obliviousness and will continue, but just gotta say, talk about an endless frustration trying to get it across. what gets people angry is the fact they can’t feed their kids or themselves and keep a roof over their heads.
The super rich and their corporations have deliberately pushed economic empowerment off of the public stage and replaced it with making sure that the same proportion of pick your group is participating in a system of exploitation.

To be clear, I don't think that the NYT has ever been a leftist paper. They really said "Michael Brown, due to be buried on Monday, was no angel." about an unarmed child killed by police. They ran Trump's full page ad on the Central Park Five. It's always been like this.

Like saying that Trump is the favorite candidate of Cuban American men in Florida, is not the same thing as saying that Trump likes the Cuban American men in Florida. It's more of a "stop hitting yourself!" situation.

Most of the 'liberal' white middle class can't even understand the 'war on drugs'. Maybe some more bubble charts would help.
Seriously, though, until we start taking school board elections seriously the south will continue to win with generation after generation of ignorant public school graduates who don't believe the world their grandparents lived through and we are still living through. -
On top of this political system can distract itself with a lot of performative bullshit while 90% of the population is having trouble making ends meet no matter what size shape, gender or skin tone they have.
The problem is the super rich and the corporations who have deliberately worked to seize the means of government.
The flaming fire of hate that they benefit from, is the thing we need to overcome.
Minnesota is an exemplary here. It is something like what we need.
