It seems like people are very interested in the topic of #food so I'll be doing a few more food-related posts on my account in the coming days.

Do you have any suggestions for areas I could dig into?
Give me your questions and I shall endeavor to answer, now or in future projects! -

Give me your questions and I shall endeavor to answer, now or in future projects!@hpod16 I am forever haunted by that one time on a school trip back in Latvia a chewing gum just suddenly disintegrated in my mouth. Imagine having sandy cuscus mixed with glue. Hard to get rid of
Do not recommend!
One plausibly sounding explanation for this that I've come across is that companies operating in the EU will send substandard versions of their products to the poorer countries. Would love to hear more about this

@nCrazed
that one's going to be hard to dig into, but it sounds very interesting. I remember similar complaints from some years ago, I think I recall a story about Nutella being different in Poland. So I can look into this, let's see if I find any EU response to it -

@nCrazed @dalcacer
Thanks for weighing in... I distinctly remember this being an EU story around 2017, and being raised by some Eastern European MEPs, specifically with the example of Nutella. I do wonder what came of it... When I have time, I want to dive into this with me special research skills... -

Give me your questions and I shall endeavor to answer, now or in future projects!@hpod16 I may regret suggesting this one, but phytosanitary standards for importing food from non-EU countries? Like what are the standards like (in general) and how much do they vary based on where the food is being imported from?
the power of suggestion and sugar addiction!
