          That’s easy to say. But I will freely admit I am going to make no effort. I am more likely to reach an understanding by complete accident, and then it is unlikely, and anyone who says they believe me is full of it.

              That’s too easy. You just use a good steak sauce/brown sauce.

                  @benroyce I have tried A1, HP (not the Canadian variant, but the British/Netherlands kind, which is a very good ketchup alternative), Heinz 57 sauce (similar to the previous), some stuff of some ‘Southern-culture’ reminiscent brand not worth remembering, and ‘London Pub’ brand. And ‘London Pub’ brand was by some chance the best. It was the thickest and the most steak-saucy in flavor.

                      @benroyce It sounds too Southern to be to my taste LOL! I’m being funny, it might be great. But I am not a gastronomist, I am a polymath. So far I have found London Pub and it is EXCELLENT but I also keep A1 and HP present. And HP is unusual in the U.S. but the normal stuff in the U.K.

                      There is no need for the Irish ‘Chef’s’ sauce if you have ‘London Pub’, and you can buy ‘London Pub’ at the local supermarket.

                        @benroyce They want you to think ‘HP’ is some European code. It stands for ‘Heinz Products’. HP Sauce in the U.K. is similar to Heinz 57 sauce in the U.S. And has the same formula in the Netherlands (from what I can tell) but a different one in Canada. So it is just ketchup. All these steak sauces are just spicy variants of ketchup.

                        I have no objection to them whatsoever, if they be recognized as what they be.

                            We should note that Péter Magyar is far from a Mr. Perfect. For one, he's a staunch conservative who embraces several of Orbán's ideas and program points. However, he's not corrupt, he's not pro-Russian, he's not an autocrat. The Hungarian people know you don't get from hell to heaven in a day and that the first step in getting away from hell is to vote AGAINST hell and FOR whoever is NOT hell. That's precisely what they did, and what America DIDN'T do in November 2024.

                                  @benroyce Do you know, I used to eat flying ants at minor league baseball games, and people were like, ‘So Barry eats flying ants.’ It’s no big deal.

                                  I like to buy grasshoppers that they sell as snacks from Mexico. They are tasty things. The crickets sold as snack more generally are ick. Someone making an excuse to sell crickets. But Mexican grasshoppers have a history!

                                    @benroyce I have no idea what of this is kosher, nor do I care. I know some ‘locusts’ are kosher, but surely nothing from the ‘New World’ can satisfy that.

                                        @benroyce Just put some lamb in the recipe. I love lamb. It is kosher so my fellow Jews will not object. Only vegetarians will object, and how the heck do they feed their cats?

                                          @benroyce That stuff arrives tomorrow.

                                          My wife is finicky but I am like a raccoon. I will eat anything. She used to order lightly marinated octopuses and cuttlefish from CostCo and I would chow down.
