I saw the movie The Woman King on CBC-Gem. Very good movie. Recommended.

It's fiction, but inspired by the real life kingdom of Dahomey in Africa. So, curious, I checked out the entry on Dahomey in Wikipedia. And yeah, that entry made it clear how absolutely fictitious the movie is. It's heavily modified for present day cultural ethics. Regardless, it's a good movie to watch.
