@jrdepriest @rixx it will be something different and more dystopian next time.
"Shake to Present Papers"
"Shake to swear loyalty"
"Shake it or Die" -
I had a Motorola phone with "flick to turn on flashlight". That was nice. A single flick, not a vaguely defined "shake".
@jrdepriest @MeaningfulBits @rixx It's super nice and all phones would have it but for the Motorola patent. 🤬
And AFAIK free "ROMs" like LineageOS are too chicken to just ignore the patent and offer it on all devices. Or even as an add-on app FFS.

@rixx AI and motion controls, two things everyone loves!

@rixx I've always thought "shake to _____" doesn't make much sense. There are too many false positives and pressing a button is quicker.
@DaveBeBrave yeah, the only good use I ever saw was triggering the flashlight on Moto phones. That was rad

@jalefkowit @rixx I’m still testing it out, because no more Firefox for me until they screw their heads on right about their recent AI turn, and Librewolf didn’t work well for me.
You’ve had a problem or two, it sounds like?
Any TL;DR you could toss my way?

Plausible deniability?

@rixx omg! Every once in a while I’ll see “want me t
Summarize this page?” Take over the screen and never knew why. Guessing I was shaking the device. What a stupid thing
