Also opt out also preserves your rights. You just have to do it proactively. But you have the right to opt out and they respect it.

I am not defending Mozilla. IMHO the should put their efforts somewhere else. But AI is a an open strategy for them and opt out is their compromise. I can live with that though I'd prefer it to be different.
