@bevanthomas I always thought the 3 Fates is more accurate than 3 witches. Originally Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos in Greece.Hectate wasn't 1, though like the Morrigna became 3 fold.The Norse Norns, Urðr, Verðandi, and Skuld, remind me also of the Greek Fates and Shakespeare's three witches.There is also the Maiden, Mother & Crone in Western tradition which is variously 3 separate witches or 3 aspects (like Hectate became) of one witch or a fay/sidhe. Though fay are usually like maidens.
