#introduction Hello, I'm Henrietta and I'm a boat. More precisely, a Nordic Folkboat. Designed by a Swedish committee, built by a Finnish boatyard. I live in Helsinki and I like to swim in the Gulf of Finland. I came here to post bad jokes and share experiences and imaginings from a wooden boat's perspective. First of all, I want to acknowledge that wood belongs primarily in the forest, just like wolves, elk, and flying squirrels. However, moderate and considered cutting of trees may sometimes be just fine, because wood can then continue its life as a boat. In contrast, there is no reason to cut down a wolf, elk, or flying squirrel, since there are no wolf-, elk-, or flying squirrel-boats. #woodenboat #sailing #boating #sea

Developed in-house medical device software on basis of AMPEL is implemented in the (already protected) clinical IT infrastructure. Open Source Hardware (like 3D printing) is a topic in our clinic but in our project out of sope.The community building is complex as we need not only software developers but medical and regulatoric experts as well. But yes, we are in the process!

#introduction One thing I really like about the fediverse is that one can have multiple accounts to have a focus on which aspects one want to communicate about oneself. So this is not my first account in the fediverse. But this time I want it to be one that is a bit more personal that might connect to my outside of fediverse life. In key words i am cliche of a fediverse user. I work in IT i like to use #rustlang and to some extend #nix/ #lix. I am enjoying my #hrt. But unlike the cliche of that demographic I have my difficulties with #genderidentity. I think that #antisemitism is a real problem. okokok heres my intro post #introductionI go by Rook and I like a lot of stuff!I read visual novels a lot, but not super linearly lmao. I'm reading F/SN right now and have umineko on hold until I fix whatever I did to my switch last time I opened it. Speaking of, I like collecting and modding old consoles, so far my collection consists of a gamecube, wii, ps2, xbox, wii u, and a dreamcast. I'm currently on the hunt for a SFC. As far as anime goes, I'm generally into more slice of life or shoujo type animes but I will watch the occasional classic if the mood strikes (rn im watching samurai champloo and code geass) aaaaaand uhhhh I'm crazy into tea rn. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from yunnan sourcing so I might post about those when they get here if i feel courageous enough. ​​ I'm also studying japanese, currently grinding ankis so I can finally read because the struggle is real ​​ my listening is suuuper far ahead of my reading rn lmao....I think thats it! Hello fediverse! I am finally getting around to doing an introduction post! I have been on this server since 2023, so feel free to click through to the Media tab on my profile to check out my interests. My day job is publicly funded biomedical research. Otherwise, I am avidly pursuing outdoors activity such as hiking and fly fishing. In the cold dark months, I make due with fly tying and a couple of aquariums. In all seasons, I drink loose leaf tea and try to stay on top of python for scientific or otherwise high performance computing. In 2026, I am looking forward to getting my fitness journey back on track and getting back into the woods after some injuries.Please give this introduction a boost!#introduction
