@spaceraser Agreed. Except string tension is pretty constant, while “wiggles” are a bit more chaotic. Apparently enough to coax a fret to tick up a fraction of a millimeter on a cheap guitar! Or, wiggles with a decade or seasonal temperature and humidity changes.

@boxspring Well, I can't comment on whether folks who dislike Telecasters are not honorable people. *This* particular person has been pretty straight with me for years—but they do make me suspicious! I agree a good Telecaster is wonderful. I tend to go for semi-long periods of not using mine (like a frew weeks), and when I pick it up again for something it's always a quirky, essentialist delight. I've idly thought about getting a second one—the now-discontinued Baja Teles are tempting!—but I have a no-duplicates policy, and I don't think I could part with the current one.

@alisynthesis @samvarma Capos are basically "intonation ignorant" devices. When you have a capo on, and then fret additional chords or notes above it, you are fretting the string in two places, putting an extra stretch on it which makes it go sharper compared to playing those notes without a capo.If you have a keen ear that is sensitive to intonation, you will find yourself fiddling with the tuning to try to compensate for what the capo is doing, and then have to undo that when it comes off.If your guitar has bad intonation to begin wtih, it will be even worse.
