@giorgiolucas Wouldn’t releasing the source code with a specific version basically kill any incentive for customers to pay for upgrades, since they could just keep patching that version themselves?

@andrew @storm @erici Debian for rock stable but very outdated accessibility. Ubuntu for stable but slightly less outdated accessibility. Same for Linux Mint. Fedora for near bleeding edge accesibility. Arch for most updated but harder to set up. Stormux is based on Arch but has a setup script for setting up accessibility and such. So basically Fedora for easier setup and Arch for more advanced setup.

Linus Torvalds merged a 138,161-line removal into Linux 7.1 on April 24. Out went AX.25 amateur radio, ISDN, ATM, plus Andrew Lunn's 18 legacy Ethernet drivers. Cause: AI-generated bug reports against code with no users, no maintainers. Lunn's series merged in three days; mailing-list timeline is usually six weeks. AI bug reports are a maintenance burden.
