#Spotted in Country Aotearoa New Zealand:
A woman (20s?) is sitting on top of a picnic table looking out over a pristine water hole.
Legs swinging idly.
Expression dreamy.
A mist travelling over the water.
Bird song coming from every direction.
This is peace.A small human (4?) wearing a riding helmet, unicorn tracksuit and sturdy boots is sitting atop a Shetland pony and looking MOST aggrieved.
She's sitting in the saddle right...
She's holding the reigns right...
She's got her feet in the stirrups right.
But for some reason... this pony won't go!A couple (teens?) are holding hands as they navigate their way around mist-cloaked trees.
Whisper soft moss with beads of water shimmering on it.
Birds flittering and fluttering in the trees overhead.
The smell of leaf mould and magic in the air.A solitary cow (Hereford?) is munching its dinner grass on the side of a steep hill.
A river gurgling by to its right.
Trees whispering in the wind to its left.
A piwakawaka* dancing in front of its nose, first here, then there. Darting to get the bugs disturbed by its rather large friend.A man (70s?) with a long silver beard. Wearing a green corduroy jacket over sensible hiking clothes and sturdy mud caked boots is sitting on a bench overlooking a spring welling up from an underground cave. Eyes half closed. Taking in the peace. A faint smile on his face.

Any typos spotted in this spot had a lovely picnic at Te Puna o Riuwaka (Riwaka Resurgence) on Sunday. If typos spotted, they'll be promising themselves to come back for a swim in the summertime.
*Piwakawaka are small birds, a species of fantail. They are a delight to encounter and tend to flitter and dance around walkers or anyone or anything that can scare up a bug dinner.
The picture above is from our walk along the river at Te Puna o Riuwaka. It doesn't capture half the magic. (As always, more in the alt text)

@georgepenney looks wonderful and will be on our bucket list when we are in NZ in November. But I may not be a longbeard even then.
