#Spotted While Roaming in Aotearoa New Zealand:A young human (7?) would like to balance and walk along a very high stone wall. Dad asks if she needs help and she thinks about it, then nods decisively. Moments later she's performing this mighty feat, holding Dad's hand as he keeps her steady. A small human (5?) has decided that he is going to line all of his car toys up in the driveway. For some reason Dad wants to use the space to park his car but Small Human Traffic Conductor is not having it. Big Car Parking is over there on the curb. This is TINY car parking and that's final.A VERY muddy dog (Spaniel cross swamp goblin?) is trotting down the road next to its human. Eyes bright amidst globs and goo. Heavy tail wagging. Wearing a massive doggy grin. All the mud has been explored and Muddy Dog is TRIUMPHANT! A young human (6?) races into a cafe, clutching a very fancy looking piece of paper to his chest. Running up to the counter, he thrusts it towards the barista who looks EXTREMELY impressed, saying: "You won an award?! Good on ya matey!"Proud Young Human beams. A woman (40s?) runs out of a cafe, excitedly roaring "BEAGLES!" before greeting some beagles on the footpath. Giving lavish pats to adoring new dog friends. Grins all around.Any typos spotted in this post are very excited apostrophes, determined on possessing all the words they find. If typo's spotted, they'll be loitering on street corner's, looking for any noun's they can make friend's with.

#Spotted on Market Day in Aotearoa New Zealand:A woman (50s?) is striding past a coffee cart. A big bunch of parsley clutched in her hand like a fragrant green bouquet. A small perky dog (Jack Russell) trotting at her heels, looking up at her adoringly. A Tiny Human Fairy (2?) is skipping along, fairy wings on. Feet bare. But wait! She's not a Tiny Human Fairy. She's a Tiny Human Seagull!Snaffling a chip from a passing teen and stuffing it in her cheek pouches before anyone notices. Dad face palming.Tiny Human Seagull unrepentant. A man (30s?) is inspecting a selection of tomatoes while cradling a sausage dog in the crook of his arm. Sausage Dog looking very content with this situation. Eyes closed, one ear cocked just in case.A small human (5?) dressed in a jumper with bunnies on it is RUNNING and CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCHING on a big pile of fallen leaves. Arms outstretched. Twirling around. A huge gap toothed grin for her Mum. A young human dynamo (7?) is trotting at Mum's side as they head into the markets. Saying: "If I have a coffee like you I would work REALLY hard and have ALL the energy, won't I Mum? A coffee would be VERY good for hard work." She pauses to give Mum a hopeful look. Mum doesn't seem convinced. (Continued below)

@georgepenney I wanted to pass on to you that my mom had a rough fall last year so I got her your book for Christmas. She just told me she’s read it more than once now and bought three more copies to give to friends. It’s brought her some joy during some tough times.

Any typos spotted in this post had a delightful moment yesterday running into their favourite local drag queen (out of drag) in their pharmacy. If typos spotted, they'll be in the vitamin aisle, howling with laughter as they hear a new, completely bonkers drag name. *Wekas are a very very sneaky brown wood hen. Part dinosaur (mighty legs) part kleptomaniac, all awesome. They are rather loved and will definitely take your sandwich if you're not looking. *Feijoas might not be an indigenous New Zealand fruit, but they're everywhere and characterise Autumn. People give them away and still have too many!*Gumboots are rubber boots or wellies.

@georgepenney Yes, typos, please teach dad how to have fun with Lego the right way, that is your way! (Or would you insist one must construct what is in the manual? No, you can build whatever you want. But surely all typos and kids know that, only dads don't.) Oh, and that sweet determined fig kid getting more for mum! 🥰
