A piwakawaka* dancing in front of its nose, first here, then there. Darting to get the bugs disturbed by its rather large friend.

A man (70s?) with a long silver beard. Wearing a green corduroy jacket over sensible hiking clothes and sturdy mud caked boots is sitting on a bench overlooking a spring welling up from an underground cave. Eyes half closed. Taking in the peace. A faint smile on his face.
