    Another couple photos of my wisteria. White ones are less common than purple but I prefer the white blooms. Wisteria is a beast of a plant. It can grow 50 feet up into a tree and I need to trim mine about every two weeks throughout the summer to keep it from doing just that. I don't know that I would plant one myself; this one came with the house and I maintain it out of a sense of, I dunno, tradition.

      @eugeneparnell @gardening I moved mine to a pot three years ago. Dug nearly a metre deep to get it. And still it springs from the spot whence it was "removed"!

      If only tomatoes were so strong...

        You could try whacking the heck out of it. I saw a bonsai trained out of a wisteria at the Bonsai Museum. But I think it was during the exhibition and may not be part of the regular exhibits.

        It was quite pretty, with the blooms cascading down. Like a miniature willow lit up with fairy lights.
