White ones are less common than purple but I prefer the white blooms. Wisteria is a beast of a plant. It can grow 50 feet up into a tree and I need to trim mine about every two weeks throughout the summer to keep it from doing just that. I don't know that I would plant one myself; this one came with the house and I maintain it out of a sense of, I dunno, tradition.
#gardening
#bloomscrolling #PNW @gardening

I saw a bonsai trained out of a wisteria at the Bonsai Museum. But I think it was during the exhibition and may not be part of the regular exhibits.

It was quite pretty, with the blooms cascading down. Like a miniature willow lit up with fairy lights.

jackwilliambell@rustedneuron.com

Reply to Another couple photos of my wisteria. on Fri, 22 May 2026 05:47:17 GMT

@eugeneparnell @gardening I moved mine to a pot three years ago.
