@a53bdb Yes, some projects focus on privacy first. And GOS criticizes them for being not as secure as GOS.
Personally, I care more about privacy. I want a builtin firewall which blocks access to tracking APIs for app downloaded from PlayStore. GrapheneOS does not have that … GOS is for my needs less private than Calyx.
@flx @a53bdb @kuketzblog @GrapheneOS Privacy does not exist without security.

The project accounts are managed by multiple people and nobody threatened you.
Why are you trying to attack someone specific? Why are you attacking anyone at all?
@HybridStaticAnimate @norbert @kuketzblog Perhaps it is this style of responses that would benefit from reflection in the context of the starting posting in this thread.
You go directly from negating someone's subjective (parts are even objective) experience to attacking them to make your point.
Even if you were/are right, that's not a mode that's going to strengthen empathy with your position.

@Okuna @betterlife @kuketzblog
The Mastodon translation software may have screwed that one up, can you rephrase?
@HybridStaticAnimate @betterlife @kuketzblog Uff, English is not my native language, so I may have screwed up. I am not a techie. I am old. I am German. Hence I am interested in privacy and security, but I have no clue about programming or ssl oder so. When I started my journey and heard about GOS I went to their forum and tried to learn and asked questions. And when i got answers I did not understand, I asked why e or calyx or others say differently. I got blamed for that

@HybridStaticAnimate @betterlife @kuketzblog one more comment: When I was in the forum and had technical issues with the installation I got quick, competent and patient support

I appreciate you clarifying that your issue does not lie with GrapheneOS, and that you just wish to see GrapheneOS related posts.
But GrapheneOS does not make "digs" at other projects (assuming the translation software translated it correctly).
This post was incredibly irresponsible to make. The primary thing it seems to be accomplishing is spreading misinformation and hateful content in the replies. I implore you to reconsider having this post up.
@HybridStaticAnimate @kuketzblog I'd sincerely urge you and the team to find someone you trust has your best interests at heart and feel safe with to provide you feedback on how the communication style is externally perceived.
I assume all of us in this thread sharing the same impression and arriving at similar conclusions are just part of an irresponsible harassment campaign. Is that statistically likely?

@HybridStaticAnimate I am not attacking anyone. Daniel attacked me from his personal account.

GrapheneOS (@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social)
Attached: 1 video Gaël Duval is the founder and president of the /e/ foundation along with the CEO of Murena. Duval and his organizations have consistently taken a stance against protecting users from exploits. In this video, he once again claims protecting against exploits is only useful for pedophiles and spies. Translation to English: > There's the attack surface, on that front we're not security specialists here, so I couldn't answer you precisely, but from the discussions I've had, it seems that everything
GrapheneOS Mastodon (grapheneos.social)

Im sorry you had that experience. People who act elitist are warned and/or banned, since everyone has to start somewhere and using GOS does not entitle anyone to act above others.

@kuketzblog Verständlich. Warum gegeneinander, statt gemeinsam für eine bessere (IT-)Welt?

Wot?? Me? I dont have input on what the GOS project does. Im not associated with the GOS team.
And Im not following your assumption. It wouldnt make sense to say everyone is part of the same campaign. Its not one big campaign but a few moderate ones that spread misinformation that ends up inevitably making innocent people accidentally complicit when they might not have been otherwise. A lot of it isnt organized or planned but is still harmful all the same. Unfortuately, much of it is organized.

@Sebastian @kuketzblog @GrapheneOS

@Sebastian @kuketzblog @GrapheneOS

Geht gegen Null.

@HybridStaticAnimate @kuketzblog If you say so.
The feedback on the GOS communication style stands though.
I'd offer, as a last thought, the consideration whether, even if all was/is accurate and entirely correct, it is an *effective* style that achieves the intended outcomes.

From the looks of it, it has been very effective. Ive seen a lot of praise for avoiding the corporate slop and saccharine nonsense, and many like GOS telling it how it is quickly and effectively. Anyone who has ever been on a support call, being bounced around for several hours, can appreciate that approach lol.

@HybridStaticAnimate @kuketzblog Excellent. Then clearly, there's nothing GOS could learn or improve, and there's no need to change.
That's a good outcome, since change - and realizing what might need to change and why and then doing it - often involve a lot of effort and can even be quite painful.
Glad GOS can avoid this since they already got it down pat.
-
GrapheneOS doesnt sell a product and does not have anything to market. They arent a business.
@HybridStaticAnimate @kuketzblog they don't sell it, yet it is their product. And their social media behaviour is a form of marketing nevertheless.

@HybridStaticAnimate "Unfortuately, much of it is organized."
The reason we know you're a GrapheneOS sock puppet account is the 1:1 mapping between their paranoid delusions and yours.

@Carsten_O @denkbeteiligung @kuketzblog
GrapheneOS defends themselves from attacks, a better question is why are they being attacked? Its awful and its an inhumane level of abuse they are subjected to. They dont want to spend time refuting all of it, they just need to lessen the harm caused.
@HybridStaticAnimate
Intersting. I didn't read about those attacks (feel free to point them out).And even then it is good to tell what they are doing good instead of fingerpointing the others.
