in other practical steps, please follow more Black users (and users of color in general) and think about and boost their posts. if you aren't sure the joke or whatever you want to make is going to land, if you don't know them in general, reply less. decide not to.

if racial dynamics confuse you, you should read some books too.

I was not trying to be cute. I, honestly, was not aware that this site was alienating to minorities. I was wondering in what ways it is annoying to minorities. With that, what I could do to make it less so.

The original post was complaining about the current state. Asking how it could be better does not seem (to me) to be counterproductive.
