@That_One_Guy @maaikees Oh no I’m so sorry:(

@brnrd
They diagnosed it off the rash and did blood work.@That_One_Guy for anyone reading this. Look at the pictures in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erythema_migrans
If you see these rings around a bug bite, go to your doctor stat
The antibiotic treatment is way better than suffering Lyme's disease! -
Well I found out I have Lyme Disease an hour ago. Just what I wanted for summer. Made it almost 50 years of outdoor living avoiding it to get struck down now.
Watch out for ticks everyone.
@That_One_Guy Thank goodness you were tested and know early. I don’t think people realize just how bad Lyme disease is if not caught early. Get well soon.
-
@That_One_Guy Damn, sorry you got bit. Hopefully you get treated before it spreads.
Remember fedibody, wear light, long pants when hiking or walking through tall grass, wear close-toed shoes, wear ankle or leg socks, and most importantly, shower yourself in bug repellant!
@mast0d0nphan
I was working beehives when I picked them up I believe. I don't spray anything on myself. I'm looking into treating my clothing. -
@That_One_Guy ah geez, that stinks! I hope the meds do the trick. A couple of friends of mine have the Alpha-Gal syndrome from tick bites. Ticks are horrible.
@moelassus
I started meds this morning. -
@That_One_Guy Sorry to heathat, hope you get the right treatment.
@wyliecoyoteuk
Start heavy antibiotics this morning. -

@That_One_Guy that sucks ass. I managed to avoid it even after occasionally having ticks actually embedded in my arms and legs. Hrm.

I've avoided it close to 50 years. Just bad luck really. -

@That_One_Guy Sorry to hear that. I got Lyme disease almost three years ago, and I got the antibiotics really quickly. It was July and my summer holiday was about to begin. I was found allergic to Amorion, so I needed to take Doximycin, which is stronger and worse. I had to wear long sleeves through the July heat, since my skin was really irritated by the sun. I haven't noticed any symptoms, so I hope the meds worked and I got off mostly unharmed. Made me really wary of those guys. Get well!

I blouse my trouser legs into my socks. Seems to help. Doesn't look elegant, but neither does a bullseye rash.

@minnanen
I'm on Doxycycline 100mg. The sun was starting to irritate me today, more my eyes though. I'm hoping I caught it early. -

@SoftwareTheron
Ironically I did have my pants bloused into my socks. Not because of ticks though, I was dealing with angry bees. Something else you don't want up your trousers.
