      @vowe
      If that is all it takes to get passed this system, it is a bit useless.

        @vowe This is hilarous but, age verificiation just verifies face, not age birth? Or it doesnt connect to an actual gov database?

        So, can you just make a fake id and it would work?

            @vowe It was never about #ageverification!

            It was about government having become impotent to regulate big tech. It was about the #neoliberal #ideology having invaded every nook & cranny of our lives. Even children have to serve the interests of shareholders in #BigTech companies, who won’t be held accountable for making their products safe for children.

            Instead we hand over what remains of our #privacy to generate even more money & power for shareholders, disguised as care.. 🤮

                @gimulnautti @vowe So I had a thought and wondered what if I refused age verification? "Cannot access this site? Ok then."

                Could my internet experience actually improve?

                Or will the fascists still manage to inject MASS DEPORTATIONS narratives in front of our kids?

                Who is going to hold these sites to account if they have verified age but still publish things that kids ought not see?

                  Poor satirists, getting sidelined hard by reality every day.

                                @vowe People are required to provide their most private data, supposedly to allow for the most accurate age verification.

                                Which is influenced by drawing a fake mustache.

                                      @vowe if a cosmetic pencil is all it takes to bypass the process, then can't be a good process to start with. Also reminds me of how kids used Google Docs to bypass social media restrictions and secretly message their friends. Kids will always find cleverly simple workarounds 😆
