    it's kind of hard, pine affinity, to be judged by someone who sits there with a smirk and does nothing while we march to fascism. partly getting to fascism because you won't do shit except whine and imagine yourself superior. when you have no superiority. you have toxic idealism and immaturity

      nope

      if you show up, especially in the primaries, you get the candidates you want

      if you don't, you don't

      bad candidates do not cause lack of voting

      lack of voting causes bad candidates

      you have the cause and effect reversed and are abrogating a simple effort to make your will known. and for what? ego masturbation over toxic idealism?

      not voting is monumentally stupid, and is the cause of our problems as much as MAGA

          @Pine_Affinity
          You don't have a party on the ballot. You have specific candidates and specific issues, and you should pick the best option on the ballot for each item.

          It is a harm reduction test, and not voting hands the choice to people who will be energized to give you the worst outcome

            @Pine_Affinity

            There ain't gonna be a future with the Christofascists in power.

            With climate collapse, there is no idealized future, only surviving until the next day.

            Humanity fucked up.

            hey did you know that the US military is the largest greenhouse gas polluter on the planet and that Dems have consistently voted to increase its funding year over year?

              Ok, but you need a replacement.
              The way you get rid of him is to primary him with someone better.

                now do the GOP

                now realize those are your only 2 choices

                now realize when you don't vote you help the GOP win

                welcome to reality pine affinity

                you imagine you can drop out. as if your inaction won't affect you. this means you're entitled and you don't care about healthcare, trans people, women, immigrants, climate change, iran war, etc. or you do care but you're too stupid to realize what your "noble" nothingburger is

                  @benroyce @Pine_Affinity @c_merriweather @pascaline @Netraven @mcnado I don't think you're going to get through that thick skull of his, Ben. Looks like Pine genuinely believes that if you click your heels three times and you say "there's no place like home", you'll go right back to Kansas

                      yeah but dave we've been over this

                      what you want requires people showing up in the current system

                      so you want to argue for turnout like i am doing

                      If 1 in 1000 political volunteer hours goes into the TDG, the TDG will move forward. And the current system still gets 999 volunteer hours. It should not miss the 1 hour it has lost.

                      Only a few TDG people are needed to start this movement off.

                      And the TDG requires only 10 hours a month. Some people can participate in both systems, thus hedging their bet.
